This was one of the most time consuming projects that I have worked on, but it was well worth all of the time put into it because it came out great! I worked with 2 other motion graphics artists on this piece due to the large amount of work involved. For this production we only had still photos to work with, but we really wanted to create a visually stunning piece of work, so we came up with the idea to create the illusion of depth using the still photos. To do that we meticulously cut out the machines from each of the photos, and then layered them at different depths over the backgrounds. This allowed us to move a virtual camera around in 3D space to create a scene with depth. It also allowed us to control the depth of field in the scene to heighten the illusion.
